Lavender Mind

About

Lavender Mind began as a simple response to a full life.

​

Like may people, I found myself moving through days that were busy, meaningful and often slightly overwhelming. I was averaging 50 thousand miles a year in my very worn suburban. Our calendar looked like a schematic design and I was mentally tired. My life was great though, so I felt kind of guilty. I had learned about mindfulness from my hippy Pediatric Oncologist during my treatment of Leukemia at the age of eleven. That was quite a while ago, but I remembered how helpful it was. A friend recommended meditating way before it was cool. I did it and the rest is history. 

I noticed how easy it was to live life asleep and how easy it was to drift away from the present moment and from myself.

Rituals to Recenter grew from this noticing. 

​

Not as a system to fix anything, but as a way to return. 

​

Through breath, presence, and quiet practices, these rituals are designed to offer steadiness in the midst of real life. They're not meant to be rushed or perfected. They're meant to be returned to-again and again.

​

Calm doesn't ever come from doing more. ( I tried this route)

​

It comes from pausing long enough to arrive. 

​

Lavender Mind is a space for that pause.
